Capital City SORA Academy offers a premier training experience for the Professional Security Officer. Our Academy is located in Historic Trenton, New Jersey.
Capital City SORA Academy offers SORA training conducted by New Jersey State Police Certified Instructors. All Instructors are retired Law Enforcement Officers with extensive experience in the security field. New Jersey Security Officer Registration Act (SORA) requires that a Security Officer applicant register with the New Jersey State Police and obtain a Temporary Security Officer Certificate. The applicant has 30 days to complete a SORA training class and to be fingerprinted. Applicants must bring their Temporary Security Officer Certificate and identification to the SORA class. Capital City SORA Academy can assist applicants with the initial registration process.

NEW JERSEY SORA TRAINING CLASSES ARE HELD AT OUR TRAINING FACILITY LOCATED AT 439 South Broad St. Suite 205, Trenton, N.J., 08611 at the corner of Ferry St. (Across from the Sun Center Arena) convenient to NJ Transit bus routes and one block from the River Line light rail station.
Free parking is available on site. Parking lot is accessible from Ferry St. Instructors are also available to conduct training classes at your location for larger groups.
